I wonder how many of the “No on 8″ folks actually have elementary school children or have taken a moment to actually look at the kindergarten curriculum and think things through.
For my child, nearly every “assignment” revolved around writing about family members, making a family tree, or drawing pictures of family members.
To say that marriage and family won’t be discussed in schools is just plain ludicrous. I know from looking at the homework.
Marriage is society’s way of celebrating the most natural way of creating life…and families. Simply put - marriage is healthy for a multitude of reasons, including keeping people happy and promoting genetic health and longevity. Dare I claim that it is one of the healthiest things for society and our future offspring?
We must find a way to always continue this celebration. Our schools are an extension of our society, and we need them to support and promote this [...]
Why do the “No on 8″ supporters remind me a bit of the activists that want to get chimpanzees declared as people?
“It will be the first time the species barrier will have been crossed for legal ‘personhood,’” said Jan Creamer, chief executive of Animal Defenders International.
I experienced my first actual rain here in CA today. When I woke up I could actually hear it pelting the roof outside. It almost reminded me of OK but it still was nowhere near as strong as the storms there. Since I haven’t seen rain in such a long time I thought some pictures were in order. As I got to work I was amazed at the site of a rainbow off in the distance. For some reason it was much clearer then I remember in the past and it came out rather well in the pictures. It made me remember God’s promise to Noah and brought some extra encouragement to me. Hopefully God will do the same in your life.

Happy (late) Halloween readers. If your reading this you just pranced around saying “Trick or Treat“, and forcing the economy to shell out more money for candy - or you just woke up after a long night out getting drunk. Either way - hopefully this blog will give you some fresh air. I - myself - don’t really believe in this Halloween thing. Personally - the only thing good about it, give me a chance to watch all the girls turn into sluts. Yes - I said it. I mean girls can find any excuse to make a costume slutty these days. You literally go to a Halloween party and you see a girl dressed with nothing - and your like “What are you?” They respond - “I’m a Birthday Suit”. I mean - personally just because it’s Halloween doesn’t mean your not a slut [...]

You and I locked eyes as I was getting into my car to leave. You were a hunky gentleman in a black tshirt and white pants walking towards the escalators. I wanted to follow you but didn’t have the balls.
Listen dude, I want to meet up with you. I’ve never done this before–I’ve never even been with a man before so I want to discuss with you meeting up in a way that will not be known or noticed. I hope you weren’t turned off by the “Yes on 8″ sticker I have on my car…it doesn’t mean anything, it’s just a front. NOBODY can know about me. If you see this, email me and tell me what kind of car I have and also what I was wearing (if [...]
Impressive flavors of black currant, coconut, vanilla and oak. The fruit is rich and concentrated on the palate with the black fruits leading the way again. There is also a slight mineral edge that gives balance to the fruit. The tannins are present and will no doubt lay down some with a little bottle age. A very good effort with a complex mix of flavors. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot all from the Stags Leap District.
Rodney Strong Vineyards urges you not to drink and drive….or you might end up like these poor suckers!

VOTE NO on PROP 4
we should never vote to take rights away from anyone. Besides, you never if next time it will be your rights.
My absentee ballot got lost in a “computer glitch”. My vote has been taken away from me. If you are still allowed your voice I ask you raise it in peace, tolerance and freedom.
Our house SOLD! All the other houses on the street that have been up for sale for much longer will be sooooo jealous. Well, officially it’s under contract but it’s sold! Now comes the waiting period.
I don’t like this part. We now have to get through a 10 waiting period that the buyer can back out for any reason and then they have another 15 days to get the loan. If those things all to well we are probably good. We aren’t totally in the clear until the closing but still…woo hoo!
At the moment we are thinking about a move in mid to later November. Yes that means packing everything up and hitting the road. Not sure I’m looking forward to that drive but we can do it. Guess the Snyder’s better start gettig that guest bedroom ready (please?)! Kidding. Well…kinda.
Anyway thanks for all the prayers and support. [...]
