#4. Fat men wearing Speedos.
There’s just something that’s so inherently wrong with these men. First off, Speedos are NOT currently in style, so that’s not a reasonable excuse. And don’t give me lip and say that they’re in stylish in Europe, because the last time I checked, we separated from those bitches over 200 years ago. Second, since when did it become okay to wear things that are too small? The ladies who shop at Torrid don’t go around wearing Abercrombie Kids, do they? Why do these fat old men think they can get away with wearing a Speedo? And face it… it’s a fucking Speedo. That’s wrong. Next time these fat fuckers try to fit into something that looks like it came from Baby Gap, I’m gonna accidentally throw my frisbee and see if I can give them a concussion.

I took this picture about 30 minutes ago, on my back patio. There is a lightning storm going on over the mountain, in one small spot. Freaky! And yes, the sky really is that color!!
Lightning in the Mojave Desert
Another day, another dollar, another post about how California is different than Michigan. But first, I have to tell you all that even though it’s September, it’s still hot. In fact, there is a reasonable chance we’ll break the century mark a couple of days this week. And it still hasn’t rained. In fact, it’s rained only 25% of the average this year, and they’ve started a water alert here in Folsom. But how they handle water here is another post in and of itself.
So I can’t honestly say that I ever remember running into, or even seeing a Scientologist in Michigan. Maybe that’s just not Michigan’s brand of crazy. But since coming to CA, I’ve seen my fair share. They have a location downtown, and they set up a table at the thursday night markets on main street. Most recently they could be found outside Walmart, handing out pamphlets, [...]
Port Aransas is perfect. When you come, just bring yourself and the family. They have everything else you will need for a perfect weekend get-away or a leisurely vacation.
Stress is magically left behind as soon as you drive off the ferry from Aransas Pass and enter small town beach heaven. The town itself seems light years away from the world you came from. With around 2000 permanent residents, Port Aransas is very tourist friendly and easy to navigate. It is like large town square, with shops of all kinds, restaurants to die for, and stunning waterfronts, filled with all sorts of ocean going opportunities.
Motels and condos abound, from the modest to the elegant. So no matter what your budget allows, you’re still in Port Aransas, where the smell of salt air invigorates everyone equally.

Vale a pena!
Dica: nao economize no helicoptero.
Medo? Muito! Paramos em um [...]
up at 9am hungry but a little exhausted from yesterday’s sojourn into the north shore… but an inner energy is buzzing… need to be wise with the way i treat my body… the signs are showing, raised temperature, dry mouth and a lagging feeling… drink up on liquids and rest today… no beach, no blazing sun for a day now… so let’s do the tourist trap thing and browse along waikiki…
decide on a whim to extend my stay… call up the airlines… ok it’s all fine to go… arrange for the hotel extension… i don’t need such a big room… it’s lonely inside this huge king bed on my own… i booked this to share with you… another of my foolish fancies? perhaps, but i am not ashamed, nor do i feel foolish, not anymore… i am glad i did it, i am glad i dared to love and express [...]

Alaska’s former commissioner of public safety says Gov. Sarah Palin, John McCain’s pick to be vice president, personally talked with him on two occasions about a state trooper who was locked in a bitter custody battle with the governor’s sister.
In a phone conversation Friday night, Walt Monegan, who was Alaska’s top cop until Palin fired him July 11, told the Daily News that the governor also had e-mailed him two or three times about her ex-brother-in-law, Trooper Mike Wooten, though the e-mails didn’t mention Wooten by name.
Monegan claims his refusal to fire Wooten was a major reason that Palin dismissed him. Wooten had been suspended for five days previously, based largely on complaints that Palin’s family had initiated before Palin was governor.
The events [...]
