Today was my first day off, and it was simply lovely. K. did wake me up at 6-something this morning, but after I told her that it was my day off she exited quietly and I fell back to sleep for another couple of hours.
Went downstairs, had toast with peanut butter (I love peanut butter!) then took a long, hot shower. It was so wonderful to be squeaky clean again after yesterday’s day at the beach with all the oily SPF 45 and sand.
I have a habit of falling asleep after showers, especially when I have things to do and it’s really inconvenient. Today was no exception.
I woke up about 20 minutes before the ferry was about to leave, and I still had to blowdry my hair and get dressed. N. kindly drove me down and I brought my makeup bag along to apply during the trip.
